SEASON 2022/23
Welcome to season 22/23 at the Riverside Cricket Club, we are a proud family club with a long successful history. We define success largely as the number of kids we have returning each season but also have experienced a lot of on field success over the years - most recently with 8 of our 9 junior teams last season making finals. As a junior program our priority is for kids to enjoy their time at the club; however we are also committed to helping every child progress their cricket skills and have a strong coaching program which has been boosted this season by the inclusion of external specialist coaches and additional senior coaches to assist our juniors and their coaches to become the best cricketers they can be.
We are proud to boast a strong Blasters program as well as teams represented in all junior age groups, including our growing girls program.
Cricket Blast at Riverside - 10 week program
Season 2022/23 Commences November 2022 (5 weeks prior to Christmas holidays and 5 weeks from start of February)

Junior Program
Our junior program commences at our under 10 age group. These children play in a 'non competitive grade within our local competition within the DVCA. Children playing in this age group play with modified rules including shortened pitches and each child batting for a certain number of balls regardless of going out etc. These games are played on a Wednesday night starting at 5pm and are a great entry point for our younger players into the game of cricket.
We also field sides in U12, U14, U16, and the girls competition U13 and U16. These games are all played within the DVCA competition. Our girls teams and first year U12 teams generally play on a Wednesday night, whilst the remaining junior games occur on a Friday night.
We pride ourselves on being an inclusive club and welcome all players existing and new.
